The Video Production Specialist will work with the Audio Visual & Production (AVP) team to plan, film, and edit engaging video content that meets the needs of a wide range of clients and audiences. This position participates in all stages of the video production process, including concept development, storyboarding, scripting, directing, filming, and editing, to produce consistent, high-quality content that reflects institutional branding and messaging. In addition to video production responsibilities, the Video Production Specialist may assist with audio-visual support for classes, labs, and campus events, including setup and operation of WVSOM's AV systems. This position reports to the Creative Manager of AVP. This is a full-time, non-classified position and is exempt from FLSA regulations concerning overtime. Not all activities of this position occur within the confines of a normal schedule and shall require evening and weekend scheduling as needed. The weekly schedule for this position will be established between the supervisor and the employee and approved given the needs of the department and WVSOM. This position has been designated as essential. This means that when WVSOM is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in such positions may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover and continue operations at WVSOM.
