Video Marketing Specialist

YALE APPLIANCENorton, MA
3dHybrid

About The Position

You’ll be the producer–editor powering Yale Appliance’s video engine: 3 YouTube videos per week (Mon/Wed/Fri) and daily Shorts (Mon–Fri). You’ll partner with subject-matter experts and our Marketing Director to turn briefs into clear scripts/outlines, run efficient shoots, edit clean, and package videos for performance (hooks, titles, chapters, end screens, basic thumbnail briefs). You’ll also capture light footage at select events (webinars, trade sessions, chef demos) and organize media so the team can repurpose quickly.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years producing/editing short-form and mid-form video (portfolio required).
  • Proficiency: Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut), basic After Effects or motion templates, Photoshop for simple crops/overlays.
  • Solid camera/audio fundamentals (mirrorless/DSLR, 3-point lighting, lav/shotgun mic setup).
  • Comfortable collaborating from briefs, creating shot lists, and interviewing SMEs.
  • Strong organization, file management, and attention to detail; reliable, self-starting.

Nice To Haves

  • YouTube Studio familiarity (chapters, end screens, packaging best practices).
  • Basic color management (LUTs), audio cleanup (noise reduction, EQ, compression).
  • Experience extracting multiple Shorts from a single long-form.
  • HubSpot/GA4/UTM awareness; live stream tech checks (Wistia/Restream/YouTube Live).

Responsibilities

  • Turn approved briefs into shot lists and scripts; schedule talent/space; set up camera, audio, and lights.
  • Film presenters, products, and b-roll in our showrooms/studios; occasional on-site event capture.
  • Edit 3 long-form videos/week (6–10 min typical) and produce 5 Shorts/week (9:16 vertical) from long-form + event clips.
  • Create simple motion graphics/lower thirds; apply color and audio hygiene; export platform-ready masters.
  • Craft hook-led titles, first 15-second hooks, write descriptions with CTAs/UTMs, add chapters, end screens, and cards.
  • Provide a thumbnail brief (copy & framing); collaborate with design resources when needed.
  • Deliver final assets/metadata to the Marketing Admin for scheduling across YouTube/IG/TikTok/LinkedIn.
  • Maintain naming conventions, folder structures, proxies, and backups; tag b-roll for reuse.
  • Use a pre-publish QA checklist (captions, loudness, spelling, links, export specs).
  • Coordinate outsourced recording and editors for heavy lifts; provide clear edit notes and review feedback.
  • Log basic performance (CTR, average view duration, audience retention dips) and propose title/thumbnail refreshes.
  • Support ~12 trade events/year and rethought chef demos with highlight footage (hero shots + 1–2 mic’d segments).
  • Prepare gear pack lists; secure releases where needed; hand off footage for fast recap edits.
