Requirements
- Top candidates for this position will have a background as a content creator and/or new media journalist
- Must write sharp and witty scripts based on news stories, accurately identify the best candidates for video based on dozens of articles published each day on TheRealDeal.com
- Must demonstrate excellent editing skills with high proficiency in Adobe Premiere or similar, including experience creating graphics and animations for short-form video
- Must be knowledgeable of trends in top video-based social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram and TikTok
- Must have a strong understanding of journalism fundamentals. Knowledge of the real estate beat is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Write, shoot, and edit 6-8 vertical format videos for The Real Dealâs social media platforms per week
- Work with TRDâs video and social leads to identify key stories and accurately pull out the most interesting details to craft exciting, engaging video content
- Write captions, create thumbnails, and analyze successes and missed opportunities among The Real Dealâs video stories
