About The Position

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. As a video producer, you’ll be responsible for assisting the Senior Video Producer in all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production of promotional videos and field stories, with the purpose of engaging people and organizations in the global work of Bible translation. The video producer leverages entry-level skills and experience in video production and non-profit storytelling in a visual medium. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in supporting the team’s video production needs and taking the initiative in achieving team goals, all while thriving in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and expanding your professional skill sets. You’ll partner with Marketing leadership and other team members to: - Craft a narrative that tells the exciting story of Bible translation with excellence. - Expand awareness by reaching new audiences unfamiliar with Bible translation. - Inspire engagement through exceptional content and digital experiences. - Develop a digitally connected journey for those already engaged in Bible translation. Overview of Marketing The mission of Wycliffe’s Marketing department is to tell the powerful story of what God is doing through Bible translation and to invite people and churches to participate in this transformative work. Through content and experiences that delight, inspire and engage, we will communicate the life-changing impact of Bible translation. Our goal is to "wow" every audience at every touchpoint by showcasing the work that God is doing throughout the world. We will always include clear calls to action—pray, give, join and advocate—ensuring that each interaction leads to meaningful next steps in this journey. As we expand our reach to younger, more diverse audiences, we remain committed to generously sharing our knowledge and resources to further Kingdom work, setting our eyes on the future of Revelation 7:9.

Requirements

  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the staff person is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to assemble, grasp, finger, handle, or feel objects, including small ones; reach with hands and arms; and talk clearly, hear, and understand the speech of others. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must lift and/or move 25-60 pounds, particularly during travel. Must be able to work at a computer or audio equipment for long stretches of time. Specific visual abilities required for this job include close and distance vision, depth perception, and color vision, with the ability to distinguish between colors, shades, and brightness levels. Must be able to hear sounds and pitch, recognize the difference between sounds and focus on one source while ignoring others.
  • Technical Skills: Developing proficiency with professional video cameras, production enhancements (e.g., sliders, gimbals, aerial platforms) and other essential and emerging production tools such as microphones and lighting. Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder) and other essential software, including CatDV, Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite. Comfortable using both Windows and macOS. Desire and initiative to stay current with technological advancements, production tools and video trends.
  • Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in film, video or marketing communications plus one year of experience in pre-production and production settings, or comparable experience.

Responsibilities

  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Work alongside the Senior Video Producer and other team members to: Engage new audiences. Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, prayer partners and churches. Encourage giving and advocacy to support Bible translation
  • Work with the Senior Video Producer to research, identify and develop video concepts and actionable projects that align with key themes and marketing strategies.
  • Support the Senior Video Producer in processing footage, editing, color correction, audio finishing, effects, and other post-production work to complete video, audio and photography projects.
  • Manage and archive team media files.
  • Engage in pre-production work, including studio and location setup, and assist with photographic needs as needed.
  • Apply quality control standards and best practices as directed by the Senior Video Producer.
  • Assist with video productions, meetings and events on location as requested, and assist with other duties and projects as requested.
  • Provide administrative support by maintaining calendars, processing and tracking expense reports, responding to requests, ordering supplies and maintaining paperwork from video shoots, talent and location releases.
  • Help organize behind-the-scenes and content crews.
  • Help coordinate assets for video premieres, artist interviews, performances and meetings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support interdepartmental needs.
  • Deliver developed content to multiple platforms, including physical and online channels.
  • Stay current on trends in video and audio production, continue developing skills, and contribute ideas to refine the brand and style of video production.
  • Assist with coordinating travel arrangements and meetings with staff and management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Possibly travel domestically and internationally for story gathering as needed. This includes travel to very remote international locations by small aircraft and other local transportation means.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Video Producer.
