About The Position

In this role, will lead audiovisual storytelling for the US segment, collaborating with other creatives including copywriters, designers, and video editors to produce promotional product videos, commercials, and educational content for various company initiatives. As a multi-faceted creative, you connect the dots between various disciplines both in your leadership and your ability to get your hands dirty and take on any creative problem. You will develop creative concepts and strategies, edit videos, direct video shoots, cast talent, work with external freelancers/vendors, and own projects from start-to-finish. In addition to directing small teams of creatives you are responsible for translating creative choices to project stakeholders, distilling feedback and championing creative work throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience creating high-quality, compelling videos and audio content in an agency environment.
  • Experience with writing branded content and developing concepts for advertising campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in field related to visual arts, media production, film or film studies.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Media Encoder.
  • Deep understanding of various video formats for the web and social media channels including resolution and aspect ratio, frame rate, codecs and compression, subtitling, thumbnails, and file delivery methods.
  • Expertise in video and audio capture, DSLR- and ENG- camera technologies, portrait and dramatic lighting.
  • Ability to work with non-actors to deliver informational content to camera or within interview-style shoots.
  • Mastery of story, pacing, timing, transitions, motion graphics and story/content editing.
  • Fluency with design principles like typography, color, layout, line weight, and texture.
  • Mastery of animation principles like easing/curves, squash and stretch, anticipation, overlap/follow-through, etc. and an eye for detail, timing and finesse in animation.
  • Fluency with compositing techniques like chroma keying, masking and alpha/luma mattes, stabilization and tracking, texture and layer styles.
  • Ability to work side-by-side with graphic designers to concept and storyboard graphical representations of abstract financial concepts, prepare and re-format graphics for animation, and maintain clear and organized workflows.
  • Must have demo-reel or portfolio with clear explanation of the role you performed and the composition of the team you worked with on any given piece.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key creative personnel including the creative director, art directors, copywriters, producers, vendors and talent to create high-quality video content in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Report to the creative director and collaborate with the executive producer, art directors, and copywriters to develop creative concepts against creative briefs and brand standards.
  • Collaborate on scripts and storyboards for a range of topics including financial products, community impact strategies, company sponsorships and other internal communications.
  • Create videos ranging from animated explainers, broadcast TV spots, product sizzle reels, social videos, interviews, and talk show-style panels.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders across the organization – pitching new work and video ideas to solve business pain points.
  • Manage video studio including overseeing technology, coordinating with vendors, and procuring equipment.
  • Set up and direct video shoots including camera and audio recording, lighting, staging, and coaching actors and non-actors.
  • Direct crews, art directors, hair/makeup, and talent on larger shoots.
  • Edit and animate videos and work with external vendors for voiceover recording, color grading and audio mixing.
  • Concept and design graphical representations of abstract financial concepts for product and explainer videos.
  • Manage junior video editor and freelance videographers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Cultivate a high performing team with emphasis on identifying and supporting new learning opportunities and building complementary skillsets.
  • Own asset management system to ensure proper archiving and backup of media.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, new technologies and workflows.
