Evening Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America) Responsibilities: · Set up, calibrate, and operate video EEG equipment for routine and long-term monitoring. · Apply electrodes using the International 10–20 System and other applicable methods. · Ensure synchronized high-quality video and EEG recordings. · Monitor patients in real-time for clinical events and safety concerns. · Annotate events (seizures, behaviors, artifacts) during recording. · Maintain clear and accurate documentation in medical records and EEG systems. · Work closely with neurologists, nursing staff, and epilepsy teams for optimal patient care. · Provide technical support during intracranial monitoring, when applicable. · Recognize and respond to patient emergencies or complications during monitoring. · Follow infection control and patient privacy protocols. · Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. · Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a health science field preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program preferred.
  • 1–2 years of EEG or neurodiagnostic experience, including video EEG monitoring.
  • Knowledge of neurological disorders, especially epilepsy and seizure activity.
  • Proficient in EEG software and video systems (e.g. Natus).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize abnormal patterns or patient behaviors.

Nice To Haves

  • R.EEG T. (Registered EEG Technologist) certification from ABRET.
  • CLTM (Certified in Long Term Monitoring) certification or willingness to obtain.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • Experience working in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) or ICU.
