About The Position

This role supports a large, multi-year federal contract with the Office of Head Start focused on improving how critical information is shared with families, educators, and community partners nationwide. The work is fast-paced but structured, with clear priorities, established processes, and a strong emphasis on quality and accessibility. Success in this role means delivering clear, engaging, and accessible video content on a consistent cadence; collaborating effectively with content strategists, designers, and subject-matter experts; and reliably meeting deadlines in a highly collaborative, compliance-driven environment. Attention to detail, comfort working within defined standards, and a passion for making complex information easy to understand are key to thriving on this project. This is a full-time position contingent on contract award by our client, with a defined performance period of one year with four one-year option periods. Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in video editing or multimedia production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in video production, multimedia, communications, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating expertise in the responsibilities and requirements listed in this job description.
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Experience producing videos for web and social platforms.
  • Experience with accessibility best practices for video (captions, contrast, readability).
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working on cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

  • Experience working with content management systems (e.g., Drupal)
  • Prior work with or for government, non-profits, or underserved communities

Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce short- and long-form video content for websites, social media, email campaigns, and digital learning resources.
  • Edit webinar recordings and virtual events, ensuring fast turnaround and high production quality.
  • Collaborate with content strategists, designers, and subject-matter experts to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual stories.
  • Develop storyboards and scripts to guide the production process.
  • Develop basic motion graphics, title cards, and visual treatments to support storytelling.
  • Ensure all video content meets Section 508 accessibility standards, including captions, readable on-screen text, and audio clarity.
  • Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and documentation in shared repositories.
  • Manage work in a collaborative, Agile environment using tools like Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, and Box.
  • Continuously improve workflows, templates, and production standards as part of a long-term team.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned and qualified/trained to perform
