About The Position

The Vice President, Total Rewards is a strategic and operational leader responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving a market-competitive Total Rewards strategy that attracts, retains, and motivates top talent. This role partners closely with executive leadership and the Board to ensure compensation, benefits, and equity programs align with business strategy, financial performance, and organizational values. The VP brings deep executive compensation expertise, strong analytical rigor, sound judgment, and the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive compensation experience, including executive and equity-based compensation
  • Strong financial, statistical, and modeling expertise with advanced Excel proficiency
  • Proven ability to design and implement best-in-class Total Rewards strategies across multiple employee populations
  • Executive presence and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to senior leaders and Board members
  • Deep knowledge of compensation governance, regulatory requirements, and benefit plan structures
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect rewards strategy to performance and long-term value creation
  • High level of accountability, integrity, and sound judgment
  • Leadership capability with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset
  • Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy, including base pay, incentives, equity, benefits, and recognition programs
  • Partner with senior leadership and the Compensation Committee to design executive and Board-level compensation programs
  • Lead annual compensation processes, including performance-based pay, short- and long-term incentive plans
  • Oversee stock plan administration, equity analysis (burn rate/overhang), and commission plan design
  • Conduct external market analyses to ensure competitiveness and alignment with compensation philosophy
  • Evaluate and optimize health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans
  • Build and administer job architecture to support organizational clarity and growth
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (including FLSA) and governance best practices
  • Lead, develop, and mentor team members while fostering cross-functional collaboration
  • Operate with agility and composure in a dynamic, high-accountability environment
