The Technology Investment Banking Group has a significant presence across all major technology sub-sectors. Our Vice Presidents work as integral members of client teams that provide a wide range of services, including: general financial advice, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, special committee assignments, takeover defenses, corporate restructurings, strategic partnerships/joint ventures and advice on capital structure. Lazard is seeking an experienced Vice President with expertise in Internet & Digital Platforms to join the group’s very active San Francisco practice.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5-6 years of investment banking experience, with a focus on internet, marketplaces, and digital platforms strongly preferred, and a demonstrated passion for the space required
• Demonstrated client and deal experience on public technology company M&A transactions (buy and sell side)
• A demonstrated team player attitude and leadership qualities with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture
• Strong client relationship and presentation skills
• Strong quantitative background and analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
• Comfort operating in an unstructured environment which values initiative, creativity, and maturity
• Ability to support, manage and empower junior bankers
• Bachelor’s degree required, an MBA and/or JD would be an asset

Responsibilities

• Direct financial analyses and review models
