About The Position

We are seeking a strategic, visionary leader to serve as Vice President, Strategic Sourcing. Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, the VP will own the global sourcing and procurement function, drive enterprise-wide value creation, and serve as a trusted advisor to Freshworks' senior leadership. This role requires deep business acumen, cross-functional influence, and the ability to lead and drive transformational change across a fast-paced, global SaaS environment.

Requirements

15+ years of progressive leadership in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, including 5+ years at the executive level.
Deep experience in SaaS/software environments, including complex technology procurement and vendor management.
Proven track record of driving strategic sourcing transformation, delivering measurable financial results, and leading change across a global organization.
Strong executive presence and communication skills; able to influence, negotiate, and build alignment with C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
Expertise in sourcing systems and financial modeling; ability to leverage data to drive insights and decision-making.
Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks related to procurement and contracting.
Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing, geographically distributed teams with empathy, accountability, and strategic vision.

Nice To Haves

MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a global sourcing vision and multi-year strategy aligned with Freshworks' financial, operational, and growth goals, including re-assessment of end to end tools.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team, shaping sourcing policies that drive enterprise efficiency, risk mitigation, and business continuity.
Build and scale a world-class procurement organization, attracting and developing top talent and driving high-impact culture and performance.
Establish and lead enterprise-wide governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks to ensure regulatory alignment and protection of company assets.
Lead high-stakes negotiations for complex, global technology and services agreements; ensure scalable, cost-effective partnerships with key vendors.
Leverage data, KPIs, and market intelligence to influence decision-making at the C-suite level.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, IT, Security, and functional business leaders to ensure seamless sourcing operations and business scalability.
Champion digital transformation and automation across sourcing operations, optimizing the use of platforms such as Graphite and NetSuite.
Deliver and exceed annual savings targets and process efficiencies through category management, spend analytics, and procurement technology.
Act as a culture carrier and mentor across the global procurement function, fostering an inclusive, high-performance team.
Lead business continuity planning, vendor risk management, and contingency strategies across all global sourcing categories.
Represent the procurement function at key internal and external forums, acting as a thought leader and ambassador of Freshworks' values.
