About The Position

MEDZED IS A LEADER IN DELIVERING VALUE-BASED, TECHNOLOGY-ENABLED SOCIAL SUPPORT TO A DIVERSE POPULATION OF HIGH-COST MEDICAID MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN UNREACHABLE WITH TELEPHONIC OUTREACH, DISCONNECTED FROM PRIMARY CARE, AND USING HOSPITAL-BASED SERVICES AS THEIR PRIMARY POINT OF CARE. WE COMBINE FIELD-BASED OUTREACH WITH INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES TO FIND AND ENGAGE THESE MEMBERS. WE THEN APPLY A MODEL OF CARE DESIGNED TO RE-CONNECT THEM TO PRIMARY CARE, ADDRESS THE HEALTH-RELATED SOCIAL NEEDS (HRSNS) THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR DISENGAGEMENT AND PRESENT BARRIERS TO CARE, AND PROVIDE THEM WITH THE MEANS AND KNOWLEDGE TO TAKE MORE CONTROL OVER THEIR HEALTHCARE. OUR INTERVENTIONS YIELD REDUCED EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AND INPATIENT UTILIZATION COSTS FOR OUR HEALTH PLAN PARTNERS AND IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THEIR MEMBERS. WE ARE SEEKING AN ACCOMPLISHED INDIVIDUAL TO HELP REALIZE OUR VISION AND CONTRIBUTE TO LONG-TERM VALUE CREATION. Reporting directly to the COO, the Vice President of Strategic Operations is responsible for driving initiatives that reduce healthcare utilization while enhancing member care and experience. This position will work closely with all of the functional areas in the business to instill operational rigor throughout the operations so that we meet the requirements of our health plan partners. The individual will be responsible for maximizing the bonuses we receive from health plans through relentless drive to improve the way we deliver and report on care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare management, project management, or a similar role focused on strategic initiatives and cost-reduction in healthcare settings.
  • Proven ability to align strategic efforts with organizational values.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and decisions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • A curious nature and relentless drive for excellence
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems, Electronic Health Records (EHR), Project Management Workflow systems, etc.
  • Experience with California Medi-Cal health plans and CalAIM Housing requirements
  • Strong data and reporting skills with experience tracking KPIs and performance metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, housing documentation systems, and health plan portals.
