About The Position

Eaton Corporation is looking for a Vice President Strategic Marketing. This position can be located at any Eaton hub in the Midwest or Southeast, or be fully remote. Position Overview: Reporting to the VP Strategy, Marketing & Commercial Excellence, the VP is responsible for building, guiding, and developing the teams that deliver Electrical Sector Americas (ES-A) core marketing, market intelligence, and analytics capabilities. The VP is a member of the Strategic Planning and Marketing Excellence Sr. Leadership team and will define and execute strategic marketing direction aligned with business goals for the ES-A Division. This person will also lead a multi-disciplinary team; including strategic marketers, demand generation specialists, product marketers, data analysts, data scientists, and insights professionals. The VP will ensure they operate as a cohesive, high performing organization aligned to divisional goals and objectives. This includes establishing the vision, organizational structure, and operating rhythm for these teams, ensuring they have the skills, resources, and leadership support to execute the most critical duties.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in marketing, or commercial strategy roles, with significant leadership experience in a Division or BU environment.
  • Expertise with data analytics platforms, marketing technology ecosystems, and performance measurement is preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas.
  • Demonstrates professional presence, communicates articulately and confidently.
  • Strong experience working within matrixed organizations and/or with corporate COE structures.
  • Proven ability to drive strategy, execution, and measurable business results across multiple teams or business units.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated success in effectively and confidently providing “leadership” to employees in a constantly changing environment.
  • An undergraduate degree is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans based on market analysis, ensuring initiatives support both short and long-term business objectives.
  • Lead marketing communication team comprised of demand and product marketing, experience centers, marketing communications operations, to deliver a strong regional integrated marketing strategy
  • Lead and coordinate the full segment operating planning cycle, which includes leading a cross functional team that will produce operating plans that facilitate aligning strategic priorities, financial targets, and resource needs across business units
  • Lead data management, analytics strategy, and ensure governance standards for ES-A
  • Implement robust data policies, oversee accuracy of reporting, and drive adoption of analytics tools to inform decision-making across the organization.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product Lines, Sales, Segment Strategy and Global Marcom leaders to ensure the ES-A marketing organization supports Eaton's growth objectives
  • Collaborate across the global marketing communications team, including with Global CoE’s and Creative Shared Services, to activate segment marketing campaigns that convert engagement into leads.
  • Develop, mentor, and align high-performing teams in alignment with the organization.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, set clear expectations, and utilize performance reviews to support professional growth and team cohesion.
