Your Team & Role As a Vice President, Solution Architect Engineer in Japan Technology Platforms organization, you will partner with senior business and technology leadership across US and Japan to set up a GenAI–based Development and Code Remediation team. You will develop the approach and strategy for automated code development and testing, set standards and bring deep technical expertise and experience with Claude Code as you establish a vision and roadmap for new and existing applications to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! As a technical expert, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do. Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day End-to-end technical leadership for Claude Code based agentic development capability to drive application vulnerability and end-of-life remediation, build solutions to enable strategic growth, while advancing overall Prudential Japan Group technology landscape. Collaborate with chief product owners, release train engineer and enterprise architecture to evolve the Agentic platform vision and roadmap in support of application development activities. Define and prioritize enablers that explore alternatives and build the architectural runway that anticipates future needs and enables innovation, flexibility, and speed Bring an expert understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide technical guidance and leadership to team members and role-model our continuous learning culture by embedding learning and innovation in the day-to-day Work on critical applications, maintain a broad knowledge of innovative principles and theory

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
  • Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
  • Ability to translate and communicate sophisticated technical solutions and emerging industry trends in understandable terms to a broad range of audiences
  • Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills.
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with the following:
  • Agentic Code Development
  • Full Stack application development
  • Modern CI/CD practices including automated code quality and unit testing tooling

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Claude Code MCP plug-in ecosystem architecture and deployment options

Responsibilities
