About The Position

Based in New York, this is a senior, hands-on finance leadership position combining strategic influence with operational accountability. You’ll balance executive-level partnership with rigorous day-to-day financial oversight. Reporting to the Chief Financial & Strategy Officer, with a dotted line to the North America CEO, you’ll lead a team of three (Finance Director, Finance Manager, and Finance Coordinator) and play a pivotal role in shaping regional performance and long-term growth. This is a high-visibility, high-impact opportunity suited to a commercially sharp finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior finance roles, ideally within an agency or professional services setting
  • Degree qualified, with CPA or equivalent accounting credentials preferred
  • Strong expertise in job costing, revenue recognition, and profitability management
  • Advanced Excel capability and confidence adopting and optimizing new systems (TM1, Paprika, Rippling, Salesforce)
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable driving change
  • Detail-focused with strong strategic thinking and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of statutory, regulatory, and compliance requirements
  • You’re as confident presenting at the executive table as you are diving into the detail.
  • You translate complex financial data into clear direction, insight, and action.

Responsibilities

  • Set and drive North America’s financial strategy, partnering with the CEO and Executive Team on critical business decisions
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes (TM1, Salesforce), delivering clear monthly insights to senior leadership
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards
  • Provide actionable analysis on cost management, workforce planning, revenue forecasting, scenario modelling, and margin optimization
  • Identify commercial opportunities, refine pricing strategies, and support new revenue generation
  • Collaborate with Client Services, People & Culture, and Operations on resource planning, RFPs, and project financials
  • Oversee payroll, compensation reviews, bonus cycles, and employee benefits
  • Champion system enhancements and continuous process improvement across finance
  • Contribute as a senior leader in strategy development, OKRs, performance tracking, and leadership forums
