About The Position

Posit (formerly RStudio) is looking for a seasoned VP of Sales to lead, scale, and professionalize our Commercial and Enterprise sales organizations. As we continue to expand our footprint in the data science ecosystem, you will be responsible for driving predictable ARR growth and instilling a culture of operational rigor. You will lead a high-performing team of Account Executives and Managers, serving as a key bridge between our mission-driven open-source roots and our ambitious revenue targets. This is a role for a "player-coach" leader who excels at building scalable sales engines while maintaining the technical authenticity required to sell to data science and IT leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Strategy: Drive the strategy and execution to meet and exceed global ARR targets across Commercial and Enterprise segments.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement and refine sales methodologies, forecasting accuracy, and CRM hygiene within Salesforce.
  • The Playbook: Analyze successful enterprise wins to build a repeatable playbook for multi-year, six-figure contracts.
  • Land-to-Expand Framework: Formalize the transition from individual "pro-code" users to enterprise-wide adoption.
