People | Excellence | Change | Integrity | Co-prosperity Summary The VP of Retail Sales for Home Entertainment will be responsible for leading and developing the sales organization in order to deliver revenue, profit, and market share goals for the business. This role will also be the “face of the company” to Samsung’s retail channel partners and is tasked with championing/driving the company’s strategies and initiatives through the channel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus
  • +15 years working experience with demonstrable growth, and demonstrated leadership preferably within Consumer Electronics industry
  • 5+ year successful track-record in Sales Leadership and Channel Management
  • Must have relevant knowledge and experience with CE retailers.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, and ability to lead and coach others.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Able to assess risks and manage accordingly.
  • Strong intellectual rigor, with a good understanding of cultural issues and how to leverage them for success.
  • Ability to lead complex projects, and work and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to make decisions in the absence of complete data and then quickly pivot based on learnings
  • Strong Presentation Skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead Samsung’s Home Entertainment Sales Organization, including National and Regional account leaders, as well as Sales Strategy and Operations team.
  • Build comprehensive Go-to-Market strategy with Sales Leaders to deliver on Management Plan metrics including, but not limited to: Revenue, Profit, Market Share, Assortment, Promotional Plans, and MDF Investment.
  • Ensure on-going alignment, communication and support across each Product Management Team and Functional Teams (i.e. SCM, Legal, Finance) as well as Executive Leadership in Samsung
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Samsung to key retail channel partners, developing strong relationships with key channel executives.
  • Anticipate the market trends and competitive pressures and leverage those learnings to develop customized Go-To-Market strategies including impactful promotions and targeted investment.
  • Review sales forecasts and drive action to address gaps and inventory issues.
  • Continuously review internal processes, identify opportunities for enhancements and implement process improvements where necessary to enable an efficient and effective overall business flow.
  • Oversee relevant industry shows/events as well as key customer meetings.
  • Manage, develop, recruit and provide direction to a high-performing, tightly-knit team.
