About The Position

Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. The VP of Residential and Supportive Housing is a leader who will shape the future of 24/7 residential care and community-based supportive housing for individuals with complex behavioral health needs. This role carries full administrative and clinical accountability across a portfolio of residential programs and housing initiatives, with a focus on elevating quality, driving innovation, and building scalable care models. This position will bring bold, strategic thinking to one of the most critical intersections in behavioral health, bridging acute stabilization and lasting community reintegration. The VP will architect housing solutions that reduce recidivism, advance health equity, and meaningfully improve quality of life for the populations we serve. By embedding social determinants of health into program design and championing a recovery-oriented culture, this VP will directly influence system outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MHA, MBA, MSW) preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare management, with at least three years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a large behavioral health or crisis system.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance

Responsibilities

  • Lead Residential Program Operations: Oversee the daily operations of residential treatment facilities (Level I, II, or III), ensuring adequate staffing, therapeutic programming, and facility maintenance.
  • Expand Supportive Housing Portfolios: Direct the development and management of permanent supportive housing (PSH) and transitional housing programs, including liaison work with housing authorities and landlords.
  • Clinical Model Integration: Implement best known practices (e.g., Housing First, Trauma-Informed Care, Milieu Therapy) across all housing sites to ensure a consistent standard of care.
  • Strategic Care Management: Coordinate closely with the EVP to facilitate smooth transitions from acute/inpatient units into residential settings, preventing bottlenecks in the care continuum.
  • Quality & Risk Oversight: Monitor incident reports, health and safety protocols, and medication management processes within residential settings to mitigate organizational risk.
