This Team Member must uphold the HearingLife Core Values: We create trust We are team players We apply a can-do attitude We create innovative solutions Role Overview The Vice President of Real Estate & Facilities oversees both the strategic direction and daily operations of a nationwide healthcare retail portfolio. By utilizing advanced technology, this executive streamline site selection, manages leases, handles facility operations, and drives growth efforts. Their role includes applying digital tools, analytics, and automation to ensure clinics are optimally located, efficiently maintained, and completed within set timelines and budget—ultimately furthering the organization’s mission to increase access to transformative care. Additionally, the Vice President relies on sophisticated data analytics, market intelligence systems, and predictive models to determine whether acquiring existing clinics or building new ones best serves targeted markets. Through the integration of demographic information, competitor assessments, and up-to-the-minute market data, this leader leverages technology to anticipate patient demand, evaluate potential sites, and project financial outcomes for both acquisitions and new developments. This approach ensures that capital investments are strategically allocated, supporting organizational growth goals, and maximizing returns.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years in corporate real estate/facilities for multi-site retail or healthcare, with proven leadership of large portfolios.
  • Experience deploying technology for portfolio management, analytics, and facilities operations.
  • Strong executive communication and change leadership, with a track record of driving cost savings and ROI through technology-enabled programs.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Strategy & Lease Management: Use real estate management software and GIS-driven analytics to oversee a portfolio of ~600 clinic leases, enabling data-driven decisions for renewals, terminations, and restructures.
  • Greenfield Development & Expansion: Implement standardized digital playbooks and dynamic pro-forma modeling to deliver 20–30 new clinics annually. Use project management platforms to track progress, ensure proforma targets are being met, and maintain on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • M&A Site Integration: Apply technology for site diligence, integration, and harmonization of leases and vendor contracts. Use branding and compliance tools to align standards across acquired clinics.
  • Facilities Operations & Service Optimization: Oversee the facilities program using a centralized ticketing system (Connect) for issue triage, SLA tracking, and root-cause analysis. Launch service optimization initiatives supported by analytics platforms to achieve annual cost reduction and clear ROI on refresh/relocation projects.
  • Vendor Management & Performance: Implement vendor scorecards and feedback mechanisms to monitor KPIs, drive accountability, and optimize cost-effectiveness across all partners.
  • Capital Projects & Construction: Direct CAPEX planning and construction using digital roadmaps, contractor management software, and real-time dashboards to enforce safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Governance, Compliance & Risk: Ensure regulatory compliance (ADA, licensing, insurance) through automated tracking systems and digital document management, maintaining critical lease dates and obligations.
