About The Position

Orchestra is looking for a Vice President to manage overarching strategy and client relationships, concept novel initiatives that drive press headlines, manage deliverables for integrated campaigns, as well as oversee a team of talented junior staffers. This role will work with a wide range of creative and innovative brands mainly within the fashion, beauty, and consumer lifestyle spaces. Note: This role is based in our NY office, working two days a week in the office on a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • You have 10-13+ years of experience in media relations, communications, or public relations, with a track record of client leadership and warm, trusted reporter relationships
  • You’re tapped into trends, communities, and cultural moments before they hit the mainstream, turning emerging concepts into smart, timely campaign ideas
  • You’ve personally dreamed up stunts or out-of-the-box PR ideas that others hadn’t yet considered
  • You’re known as a media relations savant, armed with a thick Rolodex and eager to pass on your knack for networking to others
  • You’re organizationally strong — you plan, delegate, and prioritize effectively to move work forward
  • You’re scrappy and nimble, thriving in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities
  • You instinctively know how to make a story sing — whether for a journalist, influencer, or a broader audience — by tapping into what makes something shareworthy
  • You’re a client whisperer, earning and keeping client trust through strategic counsel and steady partnership
  • You’ve led PR strategies that moved the needle — driving headline-worthy coverage while advancing the brand’s mission and vision
  • You’ve guided teams to success, consistently exceeding client KPIs and goals
  • You have collaborated with and strategically advised clients on affiliate marketing programs and campaigns.
  • You have familiarity with influencer marketing and experiential strategies, and experience managing or collaborating with these teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive long-term strategy and create tentpole campaigns for a range of clients in the consumer space.
  • Build strong rapport with client and interagency partners, operating as a lead contact
  • You’ll be a key part of new business, both in voicing the brands you are passionate about taking on, as well as developing the proposals and concepts that win the hearts and minds of new partners
  • You will have a finger on the pulse of the industry, ensuring we are creatively one-upping the competition with original campaign ideas, ownable moment ideation, and strategic insights
  • Originate out-of-the-box ideas that strengthen client’s marketplace positioning
  • Furnish insights that capture both quantitative and qualitative results, acknowledging major wins, lessons learned, and moments of impact delivered by the team
  • Manage and mentor our strong and capable junior team, helping them flourish into future leaders
  • Proactively identify and integrate emerging media channels, AI advancements, and industry trends
