The Vice President, Product Engineering is responsible for leading the development of new products in alignment with the Company's new product roadmap. Organizational responsibilities include mechanical and electrical product engineering as well as industrial design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience is required.
  • At least five (5) years of experience working at a customer focused company with a culture of innovation is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Ability to manage in a team environment and influence others effectively.
  • Proven ability to drive enterprise change management and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to manage cross functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in engineering or business administration or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the company's new product introduction ﴾NPI﴿ plan to achieve new product sales objectives.
  • Align the cost structure and supply chain of new products in conjunction with business objectives.
  • Track and drive new product projects and present for executive review on a monthly basis.
  • Provide leadership and management oversight for engineering contribution to company’s entire new product development, maintenance, and continuous improvement programs
  • Provide engineering expertise in the areas of tooling, prints, specifications, product maintenance, raw materials, and vendor products throughout the organization as it relates to product engineering.
  • Develop and manage the product engineering budget, which includes determining staffing levels on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop, engage, and manage the engineering team in order to carry out engineering initiatives. Make employment recommendations on hiring, promotion, transfers, training and development, disciplinary action, terminations, and pay adjustments; monitor performance by completing new hire and annual performance evaluations.
  • Drive organizational awareness of end user needs by encouraging a culture that values voice of customer ﴾VOC﴿ as an input to the product engineering decision making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
