About The Position

Aurora is seeking a Vice President of Product & Design to lead a team of high performing product and design practitioners through the next phase of our product strategy as we build and scale new solar and storage software solutions across our platform. This role is accountable for collaborating across the organization to set the product vision, market validation, and driving execution in a dynamic and evolving environment. You will operate at the intersection of customer needs, industry dynamics, and technical possibility balancing near-term impact with long-term platform bets. This is a hands-on, people-centered leadership role for a product executive who thrives in ambiguity, actively coaches and develops product and design leaders, and builds strong cross-functional partnerships to deliver durable, high-impact products in complex, real-world industries like solar.

  • Ability to move between visionary thinking and hands-on execution
  • Comfort with platform-oriented products, including APIs, integrations, and data-driven systems
  • Strong analytical skills and experience defining and acting on product metrics
  • Ability to partner deeply with engineering without needing to be the technical architect
  • Prior experience with executives, boards, customers, and partners
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and align stakeholders around a shared strategy
  • Clear point of view, grounded in data, customer insight, and market understanding
