About The Position

As Portfolio Manager III, you will be responsible for analyzing, structuring, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of major and complex loans, ensuring compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures. You will collaborate with the Vice President, Commercial Banker to manage loans, monitor credit risks, and contribute to achieving established Bank, region, and branch goals. The role also involves ensuring compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations. You will interface with clients to assess their credit needs, gather necessary information for financing requests, and coordinate the processing of approved loans to meet customer needs and Bank policies. Additionally, you will reinforce superior customer service and handle various other underwriting, portfolio management, and upkeep tasks for new loan requests and the existing Relationship Manager's portfolio. Requirements

  • 6+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics.
  • Credit analyst training completed.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, structuring, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of major and complex loans in compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures.
  • Working with the Vice President, Commercial Banker to manage loans to ensure the credit risks are responsibly monitored and identified.
  • Assisting in attaining established Bank, region, and branch goals through active participation in underwriting and closing desirable credits with the Vice President, Commercial Banker.
  • Assuring compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • Interfacing with clients in-person, over the phone and email in order to assess their credit needs and determine the best structure and items needed for analysis.
  • Gathering and analyzing necessary information to present along with the Relationship Manager, a financing request to senior management or Loan Committee for approval.
  • Coordinating processing of approved loans; ensure loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; obtain sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; assist in solving problems relative to processing and servicing of loans within the Relationship Managers portfolio.
  • Reinforcing superior customer service through your own example along with appropriate follow-through with involved customers and employees.
  • Handling various other underwriting, portfolio management and upkeep tasks and responsibilities related to new loan requests and/or the existing Relationship Managers portfolio.
