About The Position

The Vice President, Operational Excellence, Integrated Supply Chain, will own and advance the nVent SPARK business system across Integrated Supply Chain, leading its ongoing review, maturity roadmap, and enterprise adoption. This role will drive a culture of continuous improvement by deploying operational excellence principles, optimizing end-to-end processes, and establishing operational definitions, metrics, and scorecards to measure performance and sustain results. nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions, designing, manufacturing, marketing, installing, and servicing high-performance products and solutions that connect and protect some of the world's most sensitive equipment, buildings, and critical processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of operational processes with proven successful application of methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in operations management.
  • Deep Expertise in business system and principles deployment including strategy deployment, monthly operating reports and key performance indicators.
  • A blend of critical thinking, analytical skills, and influential leadership capabilities.
  • Project leadership experience and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across all levels internally in a global matrix organization and externally.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%, including internationally.

  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) preferred for strategic decision-making and overseeing multiple facets of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and lead process improvement projects.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across various departments to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for team members on operational excellence principles and methodologies.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with partners to uncover opportunities for process enhancements and implement data-driven recommendations.
  • Mature and advance the nVent SPARK business system.
