About The Position

The Conduct & Operational Risks Business Specialists team is part of the Global Markets Americas Chief Conduct and Controls Office (GMA CCCO). The team's mission is to partner with each of the business lines in Global Markets Americas to anticipate, identify, measure and control non-financial risks. The team is a key pillar of the wider CCCO which is designed to ensure ownership and continuous improvement of each step in that value chain between our external stakeholders & our employees. CCCO contains both transversal control specialists and business specialists; the business specialists will partner with GMA senior management & CIB stakeholders to strengthen our business, process and execution processes in order to meet our growth ambitions. Requirements

  • Min 7 years of Capital Markets experience in a Front Office position, Business Management, RISK or Operational Risks Management departments.
  • Expertise in Risk & Control Self-Assessments.
  • Has been involved in operational process reviews, incident investigations, and/or remediation.
  • Integrated with regulators or internal audit.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage a team of juniors, including career & expertise development.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities.
  • Strong team spirit and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written & spoken)
  • Comfortable presenting projects to regional and global management

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of automated trading or quantitative strategies is a plus.
  • Graduated in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Economy, or Business Administration
  • Data mining skills
  • Excel Programming

Responsibilities

  • Strategic leader and SPOC for the Global Markets Americas Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and related Risk Analytics.
  • Coordinate the execution of quarterly and annual risk assessments across Operational and Compliance risks.
  • Analyze and report on the Global Markets Americas Non-Financial Risk Profile through the development and monitoring or Key Risk Indicators and governance forums.
  • Review areas of risk and develop remediation programs to enhance the bank's control framework.
  • Develop and lead thematic risk remediation programs and present the impact on the Global Markets Americas platform.
  • Identify and create risk process efficiencies.
  • Partner with Front-to-Back, 1LoD/2LoD, and local and global stakeholders on Risk analytic and remediation topics.
  • Support senior management, capital markets local and global stakeholders, and risks management teams in the identification and remediation of non-financial risks.
  • Provide advisory to senior management on adequate control framework on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure compliance with local rules, regulations, and the bank's internal policies and procedures.
