About The Position

This position leads the Benefits, HR Technology (HRIS), Compensation, Payroll, and HR Data functions, ensuring high performance, compliance, and service delivery in a fast-paced environment. It combines strategic leadership, regulatory oversight, systems optimization, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in HR, finance, or accounting (senior level)
  • Master’s degree (Business, Finance, Accounting preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of labor laws, benefits, and compensation regulations
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and decision-making ability
  • The individual must possess a results orientation, competitive nature and a desire to make things better. This requires both critical thinking skills and the ability to translate into action that drives results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop service-oriented teams across Benefits, HRIS, Payroll, Compensation, and Data Analytics
  • Drive performance, coaching, and continuous improvement
  • Build a lean, high-functioning, risk-aware organization
  • Oversee relationships with brokers, vendors, and fiduciaries
  • Ensure benefit programs are competitive, compliant, and scalable
  • Align financial planning, budgets, and risk forecasting
  • Oversee Benefit Strategy for a complex offering of self- insured, with a Captive, and fully insured products to drive value-based programs. Benefit offerings include Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit Plans and leave of absence administration.
  • Partner with HR leadership on compensation planning and pay equity reviews
  • Manage program cost and reconciliation of actual budget.
  • Translate business needs into HR system solutions (HRIS)
  • Lead system implementations and process improvements
  • Apply methodologies like change management frameworks
  • Oversee HR data architecture and integrity
  • Use analytics to drive strategic decisions and organizational improvements
  • Lead compliance across all HR-related regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, ADA, OSHA)
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor and benefits laws
  • Oversee audits and regulatory filings
  • Act as HIPAA subject matter expert
  • Ensure proper handling of PHI and personally identifiable information (PII)
  • Maintain policies, training, and compliance with privacy regulations
