About The Position

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing oversees the sales, marketing, public relations, and communications strategies across all Good Shepherd campuses and affiliated entities. This role is responsible for driving occupancy growth, expanding brand visibility, leading marketing innovation, and enhancing the reputation of Good Shepherd across all lines of service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing experience, preferably within senior services, health care, or hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems preferred.
  • Excellent written communications and verbal communication skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Background in advertising and brand management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to Good Shepherd campuses and communities' events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Set and execute strategic goals to increase occupancy and service utilization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on business development and strategic goals.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Oversee all marketing materials, branding efforts, advertising, and promotional initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with advertising agencies and vendors.
  • Direct digital marketing strategies, including social media and website management.
  • Ensure branding consistency across all platforms and communications.
  • Recruit, develop, and supervise the Sales & Marketing team including Welcome Center and Volunteer Services.
  • Promote a culture of excellence in customer service and engagement.
  • Represent Good Shepherd in the community, building partnerships with civic groups, referral sources, and business leaders.
  • Organize and attend facility events such as open houses, educational seminars, and tours.
  • Serve as Public Information Officer (PIO), managing all external communications and media relations.
  • Lead crisis communication and emergency messaging efforts.
  • Support internal departments with communication strategies and public engagement.
  • Conduct and analyze market research to guide marketing strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies and strategic discussions related to service expansion.
  • Align departmental goals with the organization's mission.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in all responsibilities.
  • Attend leadership meetings, training programs, and perform other duties as assigned.
