About The Position

Field AI is transforming how robots interact with the real world. We are building risk-aware, reliable, and field-ready AI systems that address the most complex challenges in robotics, unlocking the full potential of embodied intelligence. We go beyond typical data-driven approaches or pure transformer-based architectures, and are charting a new course, with already-globally-deployed solutions delivering real-world results and rapidly improving models through real-field applications. We are looking for a VP of Product to define and own the overall product strategy, structure, and operating model for our Security business. This role is accountable for ensuring our products scale across customers, deployments, and environments without fragmenting under customer-specific pressure. You will lead the product organization and serve as the ultimate authority on product definition, scope, and prioritization. The role is deeply tied to execution outcomes and is designed to increase organizational velocity by providing clear product truth, strong boundaries, and decisive leadership.

Requirements

15+ years of experience in product leadership for complex, technical, or platform-based products
Experience leading multi-level product organizations and setting portfolio-level strategy
Demonstrated success scaling products across customers while resisting custom divergence
Strong executive judgment around investment allocation, scope control, and long-term product value
Ability to operate as a senior decision-maker in a highly customer-facing organizationExceptional communication skills with executives, customers, and internal teams

Nice To Haves

Experience with security systems, physical security, robotics, autonomy, or AI-driven perception
Background in safety-critical, regulated, or operationally demanding domains
Experience building product operating models that protect scalability at growth-stage companies
Willingness to act as the product immune system at the executive level
Track record of building durable platforms while enabling aggressive growth

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end product strategy, portfolio structure, and operating cadence for Security
Define and enforce a clear product catalog across all offerings, including versions, configurations, and exclusions
Set long-term product vision and multi-year roadmaps aligned with company strategy, not individual customers
Establish clear product boundaries, supported use cases, and explicit non-goals across the portfolio
Make portfolio-level tradeoff decisions that balance revenue, reuse, scalability, and product health
Act as the final authority on scope, prioritization, and what we do and do not build
Build, lead, and scale a high-performing product management organization
Partner with executive engineering, AI, robotics, and operations leadership to align strategy with execution reality
Ensure consistent product definitions are enforced across sales, delivery, and customer communication
Prevent organizational drift toward custom solutions that undermine platform integrity
