THE VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS IS A SENIOR EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBLE FOR LEADING ALL NORTH AMERICAN OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONS WHILE MAINTAINING A STRONG, DIRECT REPORTING LINE TO THE CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO) AT RENA GERMANY. THIS ROLE OVERSEES THE FULL OPERATIONAL FOOTPRINT OF RENA TECHNOLOGIES NORTH AMERICA—INCLUDING PRODUCTION, SUPPLY CHAIN, PROJECT EXECUTION, QUALITY, AND FACILITIES—ENSURING SEAMLESS ALIGNMENT WITH GLOBAL OPERATIONAL STANDARDS, STRATEGIES, AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS. THE VP OF OPERATIONS WILL SHAPE AND EXECUTE A MULTI‑YEAR OPERATIONAL VISION FOR THE NORTH AMERICAN REGION, CONTRIBUTE TO GLOBAL OPERATIONAL INITIATIVES, AND ENSURE THAT NORTH AMERICAN OPERATIONS SUPPORT WORLDWIDE GROWTH, EFFICIENCY, AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, business, or related discipline required.
  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in manufacturing or engineered‑to‑order environments.
  • At least 5 years in a senior or executive role overseeing multiple operational functions or facilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with Germany‑based executives and cross‑regional teams.
  • Strong financial and operational analysis skills, with the ability to build compelling business cases for global leadership.
  • Deep understanding of process optimization, lean principles, and operational excellence systems.
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic planning, executive leadership, and organizational development.
  • High cultural awareness and ability to bridge differences in working styles between North America and Germany.
  • Must uphold the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and collaboration.
  • Must be able to operate effectively within a global organizational structure and represent North American operations reliably and accurately to global leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading operations with a global parent company or international reporting structure strongly preferred.
  • Proven success partnering with European or German HQ teams is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • DEVELOP AND EXECUTE A LONG‑TERM OPERATIONAL STRATEGY FOR NORTH AMERICA THAT ALIGNS CLOSELY WITH GLOBAL RENA OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES AND GERMANY‑BASED LEADERSHIP.
  • WORK DIRECTLY WITH THE COO IN GERMANY TO COORDINATE STRATEGIC PLANNING, OPERATIONAL PRIORITIES, GLOBAL STANDARDS, AND CROSS‑REGIONAL INITIATIVES.
  • ENSURE NORTH AMERICAN OPERATIONS FULLY SUPPORT GLOBAL SCALABILITY AND PROCESS HARMONIZATION ACROSS ALL RENA FACILITIES
  • Lead all North American operational sites and facilities, ensuring consistency in processes, performance, safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Oversee production scheduling, manufacturing performance, project execution, supply chain management, and service readiness across all regional sites.
  • Cascade global operational expectations into North American operations and ensure successful adoption.
  • Own full P&L responsibility for RENA Technologies North America.
  • Develop, manage, and achieve regional budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Ensure strong financial discipline, cost management, margin improvement, and capital investment prioritization.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial and operational reporting to headquarters.
  • Serve as the primary North American operational liaison to RENA Germany, participating in global reviews, alignment meetings, and operational strategy sessions.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, supply chain, technology, and operations teams to harmonize processes, share best practices, and standardize operational approaches.
  • Drive the implementation of Germany-developed operational tools, systems, processes, and methodologies within the North American region.
  • Establish and manage performance metrics aligned with both North American goals and global KPIs.
  • Ensure operational reliability, on‑time delivery, cost performance, and quality excellence across the entire value chain.
  • Oversee cross‑regional reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate operational updates to the COO in Germany.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Engineering, HR, and Service teams to ensure North American operations are aligned with both regional and global priorities.
  • Lead joint planning with German headquarters and local teams for major projects, supply chain dependencies, engineering needs, and capital investments.
  • Lead and develop the North American operations leadership team, ensuring strong alignment with RENA’s global leadership principles.
  • Promote a culture that reflects both RENA North America values and the operational excellence expectations set by the German headquarters.
  • Ensure that leadership development, performance management, and workforce planning support long‑term regional and global needs.
  • Represent North American Operations in customer meetings, technical reviews, and major project discussions.
  • Partner with German engineering and product teams to support customer‑specific solutions requiring cross‑regional collaboration.
  • Ensure delivery commitments are met, maintaining RENA’s global reputation for precision and reliability.
  • Lead safety programs and regulatory compliance across all North American facilities, aligned with both U.S. standards and RENA global requirements.
  • Support global risk management initiatives by providing accurate regional data, insights, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure robust business continuity planning, especially for cross‑border operational dependencies.
