About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has a need for a Vice President of Operations (VP Ops) in Virginia Beach, VA. The Vice President of Operations is a senior enterprise leader responsible for building and operating the systems, processes, and enterprise disciplines that enable Valkyrie Enterprises to scale predictably and execute with excellence. This role combines core elements of a traditional operations leader with modern enterprise enablement responsibilities, including quality and safety, proposal operations, internal and external communications, corporate graphics, and a company-wide digital transformation agenda. This role is not a business unit operator; rather, this leader owns the enterprise backbone and enterprise narrative that allow business leaders to focus on mission delivery and growth. Job Description: Enterprise Operations & Execution Establish and lead Valkyrie’s enterprise operating cadence, including quarterly execution reviews, KPI dashboards, executive reporting, and cross-functional action tracking. Drive standardization of core operational processes across business areas while preserving mission-specific flexibility. Act as the CEO’s delegate for enterprise execution issues, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic implementation priorities. Oversee and align direct-report functions to ensure enterprise-wide coordination, accountability, and performance discipline. Quality, Safety, Risk & Compliance Provide executive oversight of enterprise Quality & Safety and Risk & Facilities leadership. Own enterprise Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001/14001), safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure consistent safety performance, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance across CONUS and OCONUS operations. Oversee enterprise risk management, facilities, and physical security in coordination with the CFO and Facility Security leadership. Proposal Operations & Capture Enablement Provide executive leadership and oversight of Proposal Operations. Lead the end-to-end proposal operations function, ensuring scalability, speed, and consistency as Valkyrie’s pipeline grows. Standardize proposal processes, tools, templates, pricing inputs, and compliance reviews. Improve proposal quality and win-rate effectiveness by enabling stronger cost realism, compliance rigor, and execution discipline. Partner with Business Development and Contracts to support high-volume IDIQ, MAC, and OTA proposal activity. Communications & Corporate Graphics Oversee internal and external communications and corporate graphics. Ensure consistent, professional, mission-aligned messaging across marketing, proposals, executive materials, and board communications. Establish governance and standards for branding and visual identity. Digital Transformation & Integration Lead Valkyrie’s enterprise digital transformation, integrating core systems (Deltek Costpoint, Salesforce, HRIS, proposal tools, reporting platforms) to improve automation, reporting, and decision support. Serve as the operational lead for acquisition integration, standardizing timelines, governance, communications, and success metrics. Own post-acquisition systems alignment and onboarding playbooks, ensuring rapid integration of quality, safety, enterprise platforms, and branding. Partner with IT, Finance, HR, and business leaders to modernize how the enterprise operates—not just the tools it uses.

Requirements

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Management, or related field required
• at least 15+ years of senior leadership experience in defense, aerospace, or government services.
• Prior enterprise-level experience as a COO, VP Operations, Chief Transformation Officer, or equivalent Executive Leader.
• Must have experience leading quality, safety, proposal operations, communications, and/or enterprise systems.
• Must demonstrate success scaling operations through growth, organizational complexity, and M&A integration.
• Leadership style that is pragmatic, decisive, and low-ego, with a bias toward action, accountability, and clarity.
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.

• Master’s degree is strongly preferred (MBA, MS in Engineering, Operations, or related discipline).
