About The Position

Idaho’s largest and fastest growing distributor, Hayden Beverage Company is accepting applications for a Vice-President of Key Accounts. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, insightful, strategic, and diligent. Someone who can think outside the box and is ready to help lead us into the future. This position will be based from Boise, Idaho with some travel. Salary is 125,000- 150,000 annual with company car included The Vice-President Key Accounts is responsible for a set of responsibilities that include: Development of relationships with identified key accounts, working directly with the VP of Beer, VP of NA, VP of Wine, and GM of Red Bull to improve account planner and ad activity in accordance with supplier and company priorities. Manage and develop a diverse team of Key Account and Category Managers. Sell promotional activity, new items, and suggested shelf schematics. Manage Key Account/Category Management team to: Grow Hayden Beverage share while making accounts more profitable. Understand market trends to communicate trends, opportunities and present to Chains Be the preferred “set captain” where applicable New item introductions Suggest monthly ad items and displays Point of sale and creative promotions Work closely with key suppliers to promote brand priorities Responds to supplier/customer needs with expert quality and timeliness that contribute to successful outcomes Work closely with Brand VP’s to ensure brand priorities are executed Organize annual business reviews with Chains Drives Innovative Business Improvements Continuously seeks to improve processes versus settling for the status quo Balances immediate and long-term priorities. Strives to be a role model for collaboration, idea generation and knowledge transfer Builds internal and external relationships that result in leveraged solutions to the business Strives to build profitable, long-term relationships that drive value across HBC Innovate in new approaches to ensure HBC is winning Annual Budget planning and Execute to Budget. Manage investment and financial support. Conduct business reviews and track volume performance. Develop the customer relationship with key functions (Brand Managers, Operations, and Sales). Timely completion of any reporting requirements Develop relationships with key internal departments – Brand Managers, other KAM’s, Warehousing, Delivery, Accounting, HR, and Sales. Frequent travel throughout area of responsibility is expected with this position. Overnight travel constitutes less than 25% of the time when the position is based in Boise. The Qualified Candidate: College degree or equivalent work experience preferred; Valid Driver’s License; Must have reliable transportation for daily use in sales calls; Minimum 5 years of sales and leadership experience preferred; Demonstrate proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Understanding of ProSpace schematic software; Demonstrate outstanding presentation and persuasive sales abilities; Demonstrate an exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients while providing high levels of service by communicating clear and timely responses to issues, requests, problems and regular reporting; Demonstrate the ability to work independently while functioning as a member of a team through communication and engagement in self-directed resourcefulness and analytical thinking; Develop Brand/Sales Plan as well as Develop and Implement Promotional Activities; Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily use in sales calls
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrate proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of ProSpace schematic software
  • Demonstrate outstanding presentation and persuasive sales abilities
  • Demonstrate an exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients while providing high levels of service by communicating clear and timely responses to issues, requests, problems and regular reporting
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently while functioning as a member of a team through communication and engagement in self-directed resourcefulness and analytical thinking
