RES is looking for a Vice President, Key Clients to lead strategic business development and key account growth across energy and power sustainability clients nationwide. This role is responsible for building and deepening senior-level client relationships, introducing the full range of RES solutions, and converting opportunities into revenue. The VP, Key Clients will serve as a trusted adviser to designated clients, working across internal teams to identify where RES can create value, establish foundational commercial agreements, and progress opportunities from early engagement through executed projects. This is a high-impact role for a relationship-driven leader who can navigate complex organizations, communicate clearly, and bring together the right people to move client partnerships forward.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience building senior-level relationships in a business development or client-facing role
  • Proven success progressing client opportunities into revenue
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and client relationships with consistency and follow-through
  • Experience coordinating across internal teams to support clients and advance opportunities
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with energy companies, especially with sustainability, environmental, or operations leaders
  • Experience working with power sector clients
  • Experience selling services or project-based solutions involving complex stakeholder groups
  • Experience in environmental consulting and/or sustainability-related services
  • Familiarity with environmental mitigation, ecological site solutions, or water-related outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen strategic relationships with heads of sustainability and other senior leaders at designated energy and power companies.
  • Develop and execute key account plans, establish trusted-adviser relationships through clear communication and consistent follow-through, and present RES solutions in a compelling, client-focused way, including ecological restoration, volumetric water benefits and other sustainability-focused projects, ecological site solutions, and environmental mitigation where appropriate.
  • Listen for client needs and translate them into actionable opportunities for RES, while coordinating with internal technical, regulatory, legal, commercial, and project delivery teams to support high-quality client engagement.
  • Help establish formal working relationships with target clients, including NDAs, MSAs, and other foundational agreements, while tracking progress and helping remove internal roadblocks.
  • Identify, qualify, and advance revenue opportunities from initial discussions through proposal, contract, and booking.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast, support scope and pricing development, represent RES in client and industry settings, and share client feedback and market insight to help strengthen strategy and delivery.
