The VP of IT will define and deliver the technology strategy needed to support SDB’s continued growth. This executive will oversee core IT functions—including helpdesk, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and IT projects—while leading a lean, agile team. Success in this role requires experience in private equity-backed organizations, the ability to scale systems rapidly, and a deep understanding of the unique operational needs of multi-specialty dental and healthcare practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
10+ years of IT leadership experience, with a deep understanding of multi-specialty practices and their technological needs.
Experience in private equity-backed companies and startups is essential.
Proven track record overseeing helpdesk, security, and IT projects.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop, execute and maintain an IT strategy that aligns with business objectives, focusing on scalability.
Team Management: Lead an IT team, providing guidance and development opportunities to maximize team performance and efficiency.
Helpdesk Oversight: Ensure the helpdesk operates effectively, providing excellent support to internal stakeholders and addressing technology-related issues promptly.
Cybersecurity Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect company data and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Project Oversight: Manage the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring they align with strategic goals and are delivered on time and within budget.
Scalability and Growth: Drive initiatives to scale IT operations in a way that promotes optimizing technology use in multi-specialty practices.
Private Equity and Startup Experience: Leverage experience in private equity-backed and startup environments to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities for innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership and other departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions that enhance business operations.
