We are seeking a Senior Vice President, Information Technology (IT) to lead our IDEAYA IT Team. The Senior Vice President, Information Technology (SVP, IT) is a strategic and operational leader responsible for defining and executing IDEAYA’s enterprise technology strategy during its evolution from a clinical-stage to a commercial-stage biotechnology company. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this executive will oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data management, and compliance systems. The SVP, IT will ensure that technology capabilities effectively support financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and the scaling of commercial operations. This position is based in our South San Francisco headquarter offices and required to be onsite four days per week per our company policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in an executive role within life sciences.
  • Demonstrated success leading IT through the transition from R&D to commercial operations.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (SOX, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) and validated systems.
  • Proven experience with enterprise system implementation (ERP, QMS, LIMS, CRM).
  • Strong background in cybersecurity, data management, and business continuity planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an enterprise IT roadmap that supports IDEAYA’s commercialization and long-term growth.
  • Partner with the Chief Accounting Officer and executive leadership to align IT investments with financial, operational, and compliance goals.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of core enterprise systems, including ERP, QMS, LIMS, and CRM platforms.
  • Oversee enterprise cybersecurity and data governance programs to ensure security, integrity, and availability
  • Owns the enterprise Business Continuity Program (BCP), providing strategic leadership to ensure resilient IT operations, alignment with corporate risk management, and readiness to recover critical services during disruptive events.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial functions.
  • Manage IT service delivery, infrastructure, and operations with focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing IT organization to support IDEAYA’s growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate technology solutions that enable commercial readiness and analytics.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets and vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency and strategic alignment.
