About The Position

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President, Human Resources will oversee all HR operations, lead a team of seven HR professionals, and serve as a strategic partner in aligning people strategies with business goals across corporate and property management operations. This role is both strategic and operational, requiring strong leadership, compliance expertise, and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization. This is a primarily in-office role. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12+ years’ of experience in Human Resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing an HR team.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state employment law.
  • Proven strategic HR abilities.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintains a positive outlook and embraces a collaborative team approach.
  • Shows responsibility and takes pride in their work.
  • Fluent in English, with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or multi-entity organizations is a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development
  • Lead initiatives in talent management, retention, and employee engagement
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and culture initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, anti-discrimination laws, etc.)
  • Partner with legal counsel on employment matters and risk mitigation
  • Maintain and update company policies and employee handbooks
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting strategy and systems (including ATS management)
  • Analyze hiring data to drive strategic staffing decisions
  • Partner with department leaders to identify and meet workforce needs
  • Build out and update organizational charts, both company and department-wide
  • Lead compensation strategy, salary benchmarking, and pay equity initiatives
  • Oversee payroll operations and benefits administration
  • Manage annual benefits renewals and employee communication
  • Develop and manage HR budget
  • Lead investigations and resolve workplace concerns with professionalism and fairness
  • Oversee performance appraisal systems and leadership coaching
  • Support managers in goal setting, feedback, and employee development
  • Drive organizational development and change management initiatives
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and survey programs
  • Oversee online reputation management (Glassdoor, Indeed, Google, etc.)
