As a critical part of the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Human Resources leadership team and working closely with the UTMB System SVP CHRO and VPHR, the Vice President of Human Resources for Correctional Managed Care (VPHR-CMC) is responsible for leading the human resources teams within correctional managed healthcare, including Hospital Galveston. This role ensures HR strategies align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and the unique challenges of delivering healthcare services in correctional settings. The VPHR-CMC will drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development to support a safe, ethical, and high-performing culture. This position is supported and funded through the CMC contracts with Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).
