About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Ceded Reinsurance, Trisura Group; the Vice President of Ceded Reinsurance Operations, Trisura Group, is responsible for overseeing the operational and post placement activities of Trisura Group’s ceded reinsurance function. Key responsibilities include building out an enterprise-wide platform for reinsurance operations and maintaining oversight for over $1.5B in ceded premiums. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of ceded reinsurance, enterprise risk management, and leading a team with the desire to work in a fast-paced and growing company.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of reinsurance markets, contractual terms, and risk transfer
• Minimum 10 years of experience in reinsurance operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated strategic planning ability
• Strong financial acumen and experience with financial data management
• Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, or Accounting

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee operationalization of reinsurance treaties
• Ensure treaty compliance and adherence to contractual terms
• Forecast reinsurer exposure and management of collateral levels
• Perform on-going due diligence of reinsurers to assess counterparty risk
• Oversee reporting to reinsurers/brokers
• Partner with Treasury to forecast cashflow requirements
• Coordinate with Finance, Actuarial, Legal and Reinsurance Placement teams
• Stakeholder management, including C-Suite and reinsurers/brokers
