Why Cyprus? Why This Role? As Vice President of Branches , you'll play a critical leadership role overseeing branch operations within an assigned geographic region. You'll partner closely with Branch Managers to strengthen performance across sales, profitability, member experience, employee development, and market share growth. This role is about more than operations-it's about building confident leaders, fostering accountability, and connecting day‑to-day execution to long‑term strategy . You'll ensure branches operate in alignment with Credit Union policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements while advancing Cyprus Credit Union's mission, values, and goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) years of management experience , with an emphasis on sales, branch operations, and cross‑selling financial products and services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead high‑performing teams
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to resolve conflict, make sound decisions, and lead through change
  • Strong relationship‑building skills across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to clearly communicate vision, align teams, and connect daily operations to overall strategy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing multiple branches or a regional footprint preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • Graduate of Western CUNA Management School and/or UCCU Bachelor Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire Branch Performance Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to Branch Managers across your region
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales performance, service quality, and operational efficiency
  • Develop and execute regional strategies aligned with annual goals and organizational priorities
  • Communicate and champion the Credit Union's mission, values, and strategic plan
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance Ensure branch operations comply with policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements
  • Conduct audits and reviews to maintain strong operational integrity and audit ratings
  • Address member concerns and operational issues promptly and effectively
  • Maintain clean, safe, and secure branch environments
  • Develop Leaders & Teams Mentor and coach Branch Managers to strengthen leadership capability and performance
  • Support hiring, training, performance management, and employee development
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Make decisions related to promotions, transfers, and compensation adjustments
  • Strategy, Reporting & Collaboration Monitor performance metrics, forecasts, and statistical reports
  • Manage regional income and expenses to meet budgetary objectives
  • Partner with the Chief Operations Officer on operating standards, policies, and procedures
  • Represent the Credit Union with business partners, trade associations, and community organizations
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices
