About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Banking Vice President within our Mergers & Acquisitions group in New York City or Charlotte. In this role you will support transaction execution across a variety of industry verticals including Consumer/Retail, Healthcare, Industrials, Power & Energy, Technology/Media/Telecom and Real Estate & Gaming. In this role, you will: Be responsible for independently working with clients and handling complex transactions. Demonstrate well-developed knowledge of the entire suite of M&A products and services including buysides, sellsides, carve-outs, spin offs, fairness opinions and activism & defense; this position is directly involved in the origination and execution for existing clients and prospects. Assist or drive the delivery of full range of M&A products and services to clients at the executive management level, managing client relationships, and executing mandated assignments. Participate in analyzing companies, develop strategies for clients, pulling market and industry research across the M&A product suite Develop and train Investment Banking Analysts and Associates in M&A valuation and processes Demonstrate high level of initiative and the ability to work within a fast-paced team environment. You must bring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Precise attention to detail is essential. You must demonstrate a habit of learning and mastering complex material and a practiced ability to communicate the same.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • FINRA SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 exams must all be successfully completed within 90 days of employment if not available for transfer
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents. Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
