Act as the operational leader and strategic partner to the CMO, responsible for driving marketing effectiveness, enabling data-driven decisions, and leading transformation initiatives that accelerate growth and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CMO on performance, investment decisions, and strategic priorities
  • Translate marketing strategy into operational plans, targets, and execution frameworks
  • Drive operating cadence (QBRs, MBRs, exec reporting, planning cycles)
  • Own the marketing performance model across pipeline, revenue contribution, and ROI
  • Ensure single source of truth for metrics across Marketing, Sales, and Finance
  • Deliver actionable insights, not just reporting
  • Lead enterprise-level initiatives such as: AI in marketing Funnel redesign / GTM shifts Productivity and efficiency programs
  • Drive adoption and behavior change, not just implementation
  • Define how marketing operates across: Functions Regions Segments
  • Establish clear governance, accountability, and decision frameworks
  • Remove friction between teams (a big hidden value of this role)
  • Own annual and quarterly planning processes
  • Align spend to growth priorities and measurable outcomes
  • Provide the CMO with clear trade-off scenarios and investment recommendations
  • Own the capability roadmap (not just tools)
  • Ensure data enables: Targeting Measurement Personalization
  • Partner with IT/Data to build a future-ready architecture
  • Be the primary interface between Marketing and: Revenue Operations (pipeline + conversion) Finance (ROI, planning)
  • Drive shared accountability for revenue outcomes
  • Lead a consolidated or federated team across: Marketing Ops Analytics Martech Program Management
  • Build a high-credibility, high-impact function (not seen as support)
