About The Position

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in manufacturing construction chemicals and building materials — including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. We are currently seeking a Vice President, IT to join our North America leadership team, based in our Deerfield Beach, FL corporate office. This role is responsible for leading MAPEI North America’s IT function while working in close partnership with MAPEI Global IT to ensure alignment with enterprise systems, infrastructure, security, and long-term technology strategy. The VP, IT will lead a local IT organization, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and ensure high-quality, reliable IT services that support both corporate and manufacturing operations across the U.S.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership of direct reports and functional teams.
  • Proven experience managing IT budgets, cost centers, and capital investments.
  • Strong leadership and people-management capabilities with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and enterprise systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed environment, partnering effectively with corporate and international teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong Windows environment experience.
  • Experience with Windows desktop and server environments (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019, Hyper-V).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable business language.
  • Ability to travel as required (moderate to heavy on occasion).
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of local and tactical IT strategies for MAPEI North America in alignment with Global IT direction.
  • Provide executive leadership, coaching, and development for the North America IT team, fostering a high-performance and service-oriented culture.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, internal customers, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable IT solutions.
  • Oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, cost centers, capital expenditures, and operational planning; manage expenses to approved plans.
  • Develop, evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships, including leading RFP processes and ensuring contract compliance.
  • Leverage MAPEI Global IT agreements and standards (hardware, software, services) wherever possible to maximize efficiency and cost control.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements are met across all systems and locations.
  • Drive the rollout of Global IT architecture, solutions, and initiatives within North America, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Corporate IT Infrastructure and Security leadership to maintain alignment on systems, architecture, and security strategy.
  • Support U.S. production and operations leadership with IT solutions related to plant expansions, revamps, and new facility implementations.
  • Promote consistent best practices across staff development, performance management, client service quality, and cost management.
  • Adhere to all MAPEI policies, safety rules, and work procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
