We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to lead our family office investment and portfolio management platform to preserve and grow the family multi-generational wealth. Job Summary: Reporting to the President of the Family Office, the VP of Investments will be responsible for leadership of the Family Office investment platform. This individual will work closely with the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) to manage the investment governance process, strategic and tactical asset allocation strategy, and portfolio construction and oversight for family trusts, family investment entities, and individual family members. The role requires a strong strategic leadership mindset, deep understanding of fiduciary duties and standards, financial markets and asset classes, exceptional analytical and due diligence skills, and the ability to navigate complex investment mandates with effective communication and a team orientation approach. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CAIA) preferred.
  • Extensive experience in investment and portfolio management, preferably within a family office, trust company or private wealth management business.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting investment policy for family trusts, family investment entities, and individual family members.
  • Leadership and management of the Family Office and Private Trust Company Investment Committees.
  • In collaboration with the OCIO, the senior leadership team, and the governance investment committees, the VP of Investments will lead and develop comprehensive investment strategies aligned with the family's policy, financial goals and risk tolerance.
  • Manage, oversee and monitor the family's investment portfolios including equity, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investment managers and direct investments.
  • Conduct thorough macro-economic, sector and asset class market research to identify base-case strategic and tactical investment themes and opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the family, leadership team, and governance committees on portfolio positioning, performance, market trends, and material strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with external advisors, fund managers, and internal corporate investment professionals to optimize the family investment platform, charter and operating best-practices.
  • Work with internal and external compliance, legal, finance and tax teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, fiduciary duties and responsibilities.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of investment professionals within the family office.
