About The Position

The Vice President – Government Solutions is a senior executive leader responsible for driving revenue growth, pipeline development, and customer expansion across U.S. Federal and Civilian agencies. This role owns the federal go-to-market strategy and execution, with direct accountability for prospecting effectiveness, deal quality, margin performance, pricing discipline, and solution alignment. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented leadership role requiring deep experience navigating federal procurement, contract vehicles, pricing structures, and technically complex solutions. The Vice President partners closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, executive leadership, pre-sales engineering, operations, and delivery teams to win and scale high-impact federal programs. State and local government is not a primary focus of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Federal Government solutions, contracting, or capture-led sales.
  • Demonstrated success selling and delivering solutions to Federal and Civilian Agencies.
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, pricing models, and capture methodologies.
  • Experience selling complex, mission-critical technology solutions (e.g., Private 5G, secure wireless, fiber, infrastructure services).
  • Proven track record of building pipeline through direct prospecting and strategic account development.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding federal revenue, pipeline, and margin objectives.
  • Strong executive presence, negotiation skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Security clearance will be required for certain customer engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior leader within the revenue organization, contributing to corporate growth strategy and federal market positioning.
  • Define and execute the Federal & Civilian Government sales strategy aligned with Future Technologies Innovations’ long-term objectives.
  • Establish and own annual and multi-year revenue, pipeline, and booking targets for government solutions.
  • Provide regular forecasting, reporting, and performance insights to the Chief Revenue Officer and executive leadership team.
  • Personally lead and model strategic prospecting activities across targeted Federal and Civilian agencies.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified target account list aligned with corporate priorities and market focus areas.
  • Drive early-stage opportunity identification through: Executive outreach Industry events and conferences Partner-led introductions Agency engagement and market research
  • Ensure disciplined pipeline hygiene, qualification, and progression in CRM systems.
  • Own performance across the federal sales lifecycle, including pipeline creation, forecasting accuracy, bookings, renewals, and customer expansion.
  • Lead strategic pursuits for complex federal programs involving Private 5G, secure wireless, fiber, and integrated network infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Civilian Agency leadership, contracting officers, program managers, and prime contractors.
  • Drive disciplined account planning and opportunity expansion across priority federal customers.
  • Lead solution pursuits across federal contract vehicles including IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, OTAs, and agency-specific contracts.
  • Partner closely with capture, proposal, pricing, legal, and finance teams to deliver compliant, competitive, and compelling submissions.
  • Shape capture strategies, win themes, and value propositions aligned with federal acquisition requirements.
  • Ensure disciplined pursuit qualification and bid/no-bid decision-making.
  • Own pricing strategy and deal economics for Federal & Civilian opportunities, balancing competitiveness, compliance, and margin objectives.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to develop pricing models aligned with: Government indirect cost structures Labor rate strategies Multi-year contract economics Risk-adjusted margin targets
  • Review and approve pricing for major pursuits to ensure alignment with profitability and growth goals.
  • Drive pricing discipline, consistency, and governance across the government solutions organization.
  • Provide executive oversight of technical solution strategy in collaboration with Pre-Sales Engineering and Delivery teams.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are technically credible, compliant, scalable, and aligned with customer mission requirements.
  • Serve as a senior customer-facing leader capable of articulating technical value, solution tradeoffs, and implementation approaches to federal stakeholders.
  • Guide solution positioning for complex pursuits involving Private 5G, secure wireless, fiber, edge computing, and integrated infrastructure.
  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to execution by aligning solution scope, assumptions, and delivery expectations.
  • Work closely with Pre-Sales Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Delivery to ensure solutions are executable, compliant, and profitable.
  • Provide structured voice-of-customer feedback to inform solution development, partnerships, and service innovation.
  • Align government sales execution with operational capacity and delivery excellence.
