About The Position

Visa is a world leader in payments technology, dedicated to uplifting everyone, everywhere. The Global Data Organization (GDO) at Visa is actively pursuing new data and analytics innovations, including Gen/Agentic AI opportunities, to drive bold transformation. This Vice President of Global Data & Analytics role reports to the Chief Data Officer and is a core member of the GDO Leadership Team. The position is critical for leading both mature and newly formed teams to achieve ambitious goals, acting as a catalyst for data, analytics, and AI innovation. The leader will leverage Gen and Agentic AI to help internal partners across Visa make informed decisions and optimize business operations through insights and analytical tools. This role requires a thought partner to senior leaders, aiming to enhance Visa through data, insights, and AI. The Vice President will establish and guide a team to execute strategic priorities and shared objectives across the GDO, leading several internal D&A functions for regions (CEMEA, EU, LAC), Commercial Money Solutions, Value-Added Services, Marketing & Finance, and Merchant Data, while also co-leading the GDO Strategic Analytics Function in a matrix relationship. Collaboration with other D&A and Data Science practices across Visa is expected to drive standardization and innovation through communities of interest and shared tool development. Ideal candidates are perseverant problem solvers, visionary leaders, and externally recognized analytical and AI thought leaders skilled in change management, high-performing teams, innovative AI solutions, and global leadership.

Requirements

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
  • 15+ years of work experience in high-profile/high-impact project management
  • Experience building data science or data & analytics organization across financial institutions or payment companies.
  • Advanced experience leading large, multi-disciplinary (data science, data engineering, AI scientist, BI scientist) teams
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of Gen AI, Agentic AI and ML – including Python.
  • Experience with Open Source software.
  • Advanced project management skills with the use of Project Management software
  • Successful track record of operating cross-functionally, ideally in a federated enterprise design
  • Proven ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects with evolving requirements
  • Team player possessing a strong drive to add value to the business direction
  • Ability to influence the organization in order to make strategy happen
  • Very strong analytical mindset and superior problem-solving ability, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.

  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling business intelligence solutions, analytical decision-making and optimization tools, valuations / customer-life cycle tools.

Responsibilities

  • In close partnership with respective business unit leaders, define and deliver the overall Data, Analytics and AI strategy, organization and roadmap for each business unit.
  • As a D&A General Manager to each respective business unit, work with partners across the GDO and Tech to deliver high impact analytical decision-making and optimization tools, (Gen and Agentic AI) innovations and help define the data and analytical foundation for Visa to be the most data-driven and AI-first payments company.
  • Internal thought-leader across all the various data science and D&A teams across Visa.
  • Build a community of interest, with standardized best practices and innovative tools/salutations that drive predacity and unleash the creativity of our D&A community.
  • Drive innovative business application of data and (Gen and Agentic) AI to solve business problems as a key source of Visa value-add for clients and internal value delivery
  • Act as a strong customer for enterprise analytical and data platforms and capabilities
  • Attract, develop and retain a high-performing team of full-time employees specialized in analytics, data science and AI/ML across multiple global locations
