About The Position

Visa is seeking a Vice President of Global Data & Analytics to report to the Chief Data Officer and lead the Global Data Organization (GDO) Leadership Team. This role is critical for driving data, analytics, and AI innovation, including Gen/Agentic AI, to enable informed decision-making and optimize business operations across Visa. The VP will be a thought partner to senior leaders, helping to define and deliver data, analytics, and AI strategies, roadmaps, and organizational structures for various business units. The position involves leading multiple regional and functional internal Data & Analytics teams, including CEMEA, EU, LAC, Commercial Money Solutions, Value-Added Services, Marketing & Finance, and Merchant Data functions, and co-leading the GDO Strategic Analytics Function. The leader will also foster a community of interest across Visa's D&A and Data Science practices to standardize best practices and develop innovative tools. The ideal candidate is a perseverant problem solver, visionary leader, and recognized analytical and AI thought leader skilled in change management, high-performing teams, innovative AI solutions, and global leadership.

Requirements

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 15+ years of work experience in high-profile/high-impact project management
  • Experience building data science or data & analytics organization across financial institutions or payment companies
  • Advanced experience leading large, multi-disciplinary (data science, data engineering, AI scientist, BI scientist) teams
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of Gen AI, Agentic AI and ML – including Python
  • Experience with Open Source software
  • Advanced project management skills with the use of Project Management software
  • Successful track record of operating cross-functionally, ideally in a federated enterprise design
  • Proven ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects with evolving requirements
  • Team player possessing a strong drive to add value to the business direction
  • Ability to influence the organization in order to make strategy happen
  • Very strong analytical mindset and superior problem-solving ability, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor

Responsibilities

  • In close partnership with respective business unit leaders, define and deliver the overall Data, Analytics and AI strategy, organization and roadmap for each business unit.
  • As a D&A General Manager to each respective business unit, work with partners across the GDO and Tech to deliver high impact analytical decision-making and optimization tools, (Gen and Agentic AI) innovations and help define the data and analytical foundation for Visa to be the most data-driven and AI-first payments company.
  • Act as an internal thought-leader across all the various data science and D&A teams across Visa, building a community of interest with standardized best practices and innovative tools/solutions that drive productivity and unleash creativity.
  • Drive innovative business application of data and (Gen and Agentic) AI to solve business problems as a key source of Visa value-add for clients and internal value delivery.
  • Act as a strong customer for enterprise analytical and data platforms and capabilities.
  • Attract, develop and retain a high-performing team of full-time employees specialized in analytics, data science and AI/ML across multiple global locations.
