About The Position

The Vice President - Financial Systems is the Finance Team's financial-systems leader, expected to provide expert guidance and delivery of ERP solutions (currently Workday Financials) and support other related systems. This person provides overarching strategic guidance and leadership on ERP / Workday Financials to ensure a robust and complete solution that meets Finance's needs and allows for future enhancements with limited rework. Requirements

  • Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in leading and/or implementing ERP (currently Workday Financials) integrations, including design, build, testing, and training.
  • Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in assisting large companies with improving the performance of their finance organizations, including improving the delivery of finance services, implementing finance technologies, streamlining, and standardizing finance policies, practices, and processes, transforming the finance organization to be more effective in supporting the business
  • Demonstrates strong working relationships with financial systems users by providing assistance, education and promoting initiatives and best practices.
  • Qualified candidate must possess excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team with a demonstrated flexible attitude.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge required; Financial services experience and/or mortgage/real estate accounting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with and manage other accounting systems software is desired. Examples include: Corporate Accounting Reconciliation Database (for Corporate General Ledger Reconciliations).
  • Possess understanding of how Workday integrations feed data to other systems both internal and external (Examples include: proprietary Management Reporting System, Salesforce, McCracken (Loan Servicing System), CheckFree, and external banking software.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar position

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive knowledge of Workday Core Financials is critical. Specific Workday Financials areas include: General Ledger, Business Assets, Supplier Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Expenses.
  • Working knowledge of Workday HCM is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Integrations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials is preferred
  • CPA Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.
  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
  • Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarizing key points.
  • Specialize and expand skills within the Accounting and Finance pillar for Workday Financials.
  • Keep up to date with the latest thought leadership on Workday Finance thinking, tools, and techniques.
  • Participate and lead in all stages of implementing and managing Workday Financial Management solutions.
  • Responsible for the analysis, design, scheduling, construction, delivery, and maintenance of multiple products within the Workday Financial Management solution.
  • Uphold the Company's code of ethics and business conduct.
  • Support and participate in the Company’s internal control initiatives including developing and overseeing system controls.
  • Develop, implement, and improve processes and related initiatives to ensure data integrity and improve overall department efficiency.
  • Perform periodic security reviews and assess current requirements as necessary.
  • Maintain integrity of controls and procedures surrounding use of accounting systems across the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
