About The Position

The Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will lead the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions, ensuring alignment with CompTIA, Inc's growth objectives and private equity ownership priorities. This role will play a pivotal part in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and value creation, focusing on key metrics such as EBITDA, cash flow, and revenue growth. The VP, FP&A will partner closely with the executive leadership team to provide actionable insights, implement scalable processes, and deliver best-in-class reporting to internal stakeholders and PE investors as we are sponsored by HIG Capital and Thoma Bravo.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of driving EBITDA growth, cash flow improvement, and scalable financial processes in a high-growth environment.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models and metrics
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, preferably with experience working directly with private equity investors and boards.
  • Hands-on, resourceful leader with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Analytical thinker who builds strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making data-driven decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • 10+ years experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee CompTIA's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, data analysis, metrics and reporting, ensuring alignment with PE-driven growth and value creation objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve EBITDA margins, optimize cash flow, and enhance overall financial performance.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support decision-making on strategic initiatives, including product expansion and market entry.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports and KPI's for the executive team, PE investors, and board of directors.
  • Ensure compliance with PE reporting requirements and key financial covenants.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics, including Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and churn.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate customer acquisition strategies, ROI, and pricing models.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to align budgets and financial plans with company goals.
  • Partner with Leadership team to evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, commission plans, and cost efficiencies.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team, aligned with company culture.
