Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required, CPA strongly preferred.
  • 12 to 15 years of progressive finance experience, ideally with exposure to healthcare.
  • Exceptional analytical ability with mastery in modeling, forecasting, and translating financial complexity into clear explanations.
  • Strong communicator who can hold the room in C-suite meetings and influence decisions without posturing.
  • Deep Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a knack for building tools and reports that leadership can quickly grasp and make informed decisions.
  • Fast thinker who can quickly size up unfamiliar situations and provide direction.
  • Highly organized and reliable, capable of juggling large volumes of information without losing clarity.
  • Strategic mindset with enough creativity to build new solutions when perfect data does not exist.

Nice To Haves

  • Laboratory or diagnostic industry experience is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the company’s financial direction by building, interpreting, and communicating insights on profitability, performance, and budget alignment.
  • Drive company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, simplifying complex data into clear, actionable reporting.
  • Oversee financial reporting and analysis, including interim and year-end results, with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and strategic value.
  • Partner with divisional finance leaders to troubleshoot accounting issues, strengthen financial operations, and maintain consistency across a federated environment.
  • Develop performance metrics and reporting models that help executives and operators understand what is happening and what needs to change.
  • Build crisp, persuasive executive presentations and narratives that turn financial data into decisions.
  • Act as a key communication link between SHUSA and Australia Corporate regarding treasury needs, cash flow, monthly results, and board messaging.
  • Monitor industry and competitor trends to inform long-term planning and guide strategy.
  • Manage and mentor a finance team across Dallas and Florida, fostering strong performance and a culture of reliability and accountability.
