About The Position

The Vice President (VP) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, financial performance, and balance sheet health of the Services business. This role owns full P&L and working capital accountability and leads all aspects of service business development, field operations, training & technical support, spare parts distribution, customer experience, safety, and workforce development. This will be onsite position in the St. Louis, MO office.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in field services, aftermarket services, or equipment service organizations
  • Demonstrated P&L and working capital ownership
  • Proven ownership of a $60M+ P&L. Prior General Manager or senior Business Development leadership experience
  • Experience negotiating and writing enterprise service contracts and purchasing agreements. Track record expanding business beyond inherited territory
  • Experience managing multi-location service operations and parts distribution
  • Strong understanding of service and inventory KPIs, including AR, AP, DSO, inventory turns, and cash conversion cycle
  • Strategic business development design and implementation experience
  • Experience directly engaging company ownership
  • Saint Louis, MO based residence

  • Experience in foodservice equipment, industrial equipment, or OEM service environments
  • Background in private equity–backed or capital-disciplined growth organizations
  • Experience integrating service operations with parts warehousing and logistics
  • Bi-Lingual English and Spanish speaking

Responsibilities

  • Set and execute the strategic vision for the Services business in alignment with corporate objectives
  • Drive profitable growth through service contracts, preventative maintenance programs, aftermarket parts attachment, and new service offerings. May include organic and inorganic opportunities
  • Lead expansion initiatives across geographies, capabilities, and service models
  • Build scalable operating models that balance growth, margin, and capital efficiency
  • Own full P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, margin expansion, cost control and productivity improvements
  • Maintain direct accountability for balance sheet performance, with emphasis on working capital efficiency
  • Establish and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans
  • Drive disciplined management of Accounts Receivable (AR), including: DSO targets, Billing accuracy, cycle times, and collections effectiveness
  • Optimize Accounts Payable (AP) performance, balancing supplier terms, cash flow, and strategic vendor relationships
  • Own inventory performance for spare parts warehouses and field service van stock, including: Inventory turns, Obsolescence and excess inventory reduction, Service-level tradeoffs between fill rates and capital efficiency
  • Partner closely with central Finance and Supply Chain operations to improve cash conversion cycle and return on invested capital
  • Lead all service operations, including field service technicians, dispatch, technical support, and spare parts warehouses
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery while controlling labor, parts, and logistics costs
  • Drive continuous improvement in: First-time fix rates, Technician productivity and utilization, Parts availability and fulfillment accuracy
  • Help design, implement and optimize service management, ERP, and inventory systems
  • Champion a customer-first culture focused on availability, responsiveness, and professionalism
  • Lead the service organization post-sale with responsibility for performance impact, retention, and growth. Ensure service is a core value driver for the business
  • Strengthen relationships with key customers, OEM partners, and strategic accounts
  • Add national and regional accounts to the business
  • Evaluate develop and execute expansion into Mexico and other priority markets
  • Expand the business beyond inherited territories and develop new enterprise relationships
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction, NPS, contract renewal, and retention metrics
  • Build and develop a high-performing leadership team across field operations, selling, and parts distribution
