About The Position

Fox Corporation is seeking a Vice President, Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Legal & Business Affairs as part of our Legal/Government Relations team. This is a legal practitioner role, focused on day-to-day FCC legal compliance matters and policy matters supporting all FOX constituents, as well as providing guidance on FCC legal/compliance/policy matters to business units. This is an onsite position based in Washington, D.C.

Requirements

7+ years of legal experience in communications law
Deep understanding and experience with the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, media regulation, and policy
Experience negotiating retransmission consent agreements, FCC-related mergers and acquisitions, and spectrum management
Understanding of the broadcast television business
Law degree and Bar admission

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and ensure compliance with all FCC broadcast and related rules, regulations, and policies, such as applications and licensing; political broadcasting/advertising; kid/vid; network-affiliate relationship; closed captioning; retransmission consent, streaming, and other distribution matters
Provide advice and counsel on relevant FTC and state rules and policies
Support retransmission consent negotiations and other distribution deals, mergers, acquisitions and FCC-regulated spectrum management matters
