About The Position

Provide leadership to the SCH Children's clinical facility operations and for the long-range facility planning and construction projects. This position is responsible for the overall facilities, building and engineering operations, sustainability and maintenance of the hospital, regional facilities and real estate locations. This role analyzes costs, activities, operations, and forecasts data to determine departmental or divisional progress toward stated goals for SCH. The VP, Facilities and Capital Projects will lead the development and construction of a new hospital campus and multiple large capital expansion projects.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree in business, construction, or scientific study.
  • 15 years relevant facility management and administration, with a strong preference for facilities experience in a healthcare and/or life sciences business including laboratory and research units.
  • Demonstrated strong functional expertise in facilities management or real estate, clinical, office and lab design, project management, operations, employee services, contracting and purchasing.
  • Demonstrated competency for facilities planning to company’s core business strategy with plans, best practices, and metrics for effective execution.
  • Must hold (or obtain within one year) credentials such as CHFM, CHSP, HEM, Professional Engineer (PE), or Registered Architect (RA).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading mega-construction projects (1B+)
  • Licensed in Architecture, Real Estate or Engineering Management-level experience with independent construction or design contractors.
  • Proficiency in Continuous Improvement methodologies (LEAN, ISO 9001, ISO 55000)
